Careers Pack

Languages for your future

SCILT has produced this pack to provide young people with relevant, labour-market focused career advice on language skills and employability, direct from our partners in the workplace. Each profile shows how learning a language develops crucial skills for employment and demonstrates that knowledge of a language can directly open up opportunities for employment or career progression. Each profile showcases a different sector, provides advice and includes links to find out more.

The pack aims to support learners in making informed choices about future careers and help teachers deliver on expanding the offer, in line with Developing the Young Workforce:

Lots of jobs need languages and some of them are included in this pack. You can see more examples above.
