Event Date: 05/07/2016 09:30 - 15:00

Take part in a free full day conference for senior leaders and classroom practitioners from all phases and sectors. Through a series of local case studies, this event will demonstrate the links between student motivation and the development of an international perspective to learning.

The conference will also consider how schools can successfully embed international work into the curriculum using a variety of approaches. Colleagues from local and international schools will be on hand to outline school linking opportunities, present curriculum resources, and talk about innovative teaching practice. In addition, there will be an opportunity to reflect on current provision as well as find out more about national and European funding programmes.

The North East of England has a strong tradition of schools embracing global linking to help learners and staff develop a positive outlook towards cultural and linguistic differences. This conference will celebrate achievement and success so far, and create opportunities to share best practice which underpins work to encourage respect for people of all faiths, races and cultures.
