In an ever more globalised and inter-connected world, where global citizenship education is a growing presence in school curriculums, it is increasingly important for young people to be empowered with a knowledge, understanding and acceptance of different cultures and attitudes.

On March 7 in Edinburgh Project Trust will host its first Education Networking Event. The day will be an opportunity for people from across the education sector to discuss how young people can be inspired to embrace a global perspective, how global citizenship can be brought to life in the classroom and how structured overseas volunteering can contribute to this process.

Guests at the event will hear from expert speakers on the value of inspiring a global perspective in young people, and how to go about doing so, followed by an opportunity to pose questions about global citizenship to the panel. The day will end with a chance to meet other guests from across the education sector, and to see global citizenship resources created by Project Trust and its volunteers.
